I love Balboas. They are fun, cheap, portable, and strong. They make for great vacations! My wife and I have made many fun adventures on our Balboas.
Yes, Balboas. You see, I found my first balboa (Omega) in Austin in 2001. We had a great time on that boat. But, as most boaters do, I was always looking for my next boat. And I found it! Sweet Harmony had so many other neat features that I really wanted on a boat, espeically the roller furling jib, the steering wheel, a better interior, and the depth/speed gauge. We also moved some of the nicer parts from Omage over to Sweet Harmony, mostly the rigging and the trailer. However, it's time for me to move on.. so I'm parting with Sweet Harmony. As a testement of my enjoyment with this boat, here are two accounts of the great times we had:
Detailed account of our trip in Corpus (more pictures) on a similar Balboa
In addition, we've made trips to Kemah, Galveston, Lake Buchanan, Lake Texoma, and few trips to Corpus. This is a great boat if you like to travel or just like Lake Travis, her current home.
She was built around 1973, but her hull is in great condition. She has a few scratches that could use some gelcoat, and her topside could use some paint; but this is completely for visual appeal. There is absolutely nothing wrong with her structurally. Her sails are in fair shape. The trailer is in fair shape, but is very sturdy. The engine is old, but reliable.
$6000 or OBO. There is a $100 non-refundable deposit (goes toward purchase) for a sea trial. Please email me if you have any interest.
